The role

Own organic growth for Dezy Solutions across search and AI answer engines. You will make dezysolutions.com rank on Google and get cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews, and over time deliver the same playbook as a service to our clients.

This role sits between content and engineering and covers traditional SEO, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).

What you will do

  • Run technical SEO: audits, on-page optimization, structured data (JSON-LD schema), Core Web Vitals, internal linking, sitemaps, and robots.
  • Own keyword strategy and mapping, build topic clusters, and brief and optimize content for target keywords.
  • Handle AEO: structure content for featured snippets and AI extraction with FAQ and HowTo schema, question-based headings, and answer-first formatting.
  • Handle GEO: build the brand's entity and off-site presence so AI engines cite us, through schema, Wikidata, LinkedIn, Crunchbase, review platforms, Reddit, digital PR, and Bing plus IndexNow.
  • Track rankings, Search Console impressions, and AI citations across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini; report and iterate weekly.
  • Work with developers to ship technical changes on a Next.js site, and with the content team to publish.
  • Build and manage backlinks and directory listings (Clutch, DesignRush, G2, and similar).

What we are looking for

  • 3+ years in SEO with proven ranking and traffic results.
  • Strong technical SEO: schema and JSON-LD, Core Web Vitals, crawling and indexing, Google Search Console, and Bing Webmaster Tools.
  • Keyword research and content optimization with tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, or Keyword Planner.
  • Understanding of how AI answer engines source and cite content (GEO and AEO), or a clear ability and drive to master it fast.
  • Comfortable collaborating with developers (able to read and spec changes for a Next.js or React site) and with content teams.

Bonus points

  • A track record of getting pages cited in Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, or Perplexity.
  • Link-building and digital PR experience.
  • Familiarity with programmatic SEO and local SEO.
  • Agency experience delivering SEO to clients.
